IIT Guwahati Lifeguard Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- Walk-in only – No prior online application is required.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the practical test or interview.
- Accommodation may be provided during walk-in interview on a payment basis.
- No claim for regular appointment – This is a purely temporary engagement. Candidates will not have any claim for a regular appointment in the Institute on the strength of this temporary appointment.
- Govt/PSU employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the present employer at the time of certificate verification, or else an UNDERTAKING must be submitted.
- Additional services may be required on Sunday or other holidays as and when necessary.
- Duration: 10 months (August 2026 to May 2026). May be extended depending on performance and requirements of the Gymkhana Sports.
- The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applicants without assigning any reason and to re-advertise if no suitable candidates are found.
- Mere meeting requisite qualification and experience does not guarantee any call for interview or appointment.
- Any dispute regarding the selection/recruitment process will be subject to the Courts/tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.
