Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
- Graduate in Mining Engineering from any University or Institution recognized by the Government.
- AMIE (India) in Mining Engineering (Part A & B) – applicable only for candidates who enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31.05.2013.

Eligibility – Domicile
- Must be an Indian Citizen (Articles 5-8 of Constitution).
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
