RBI Imphal Recruitment 2026 – Duties & Responsibilities

The BMC will be required to:

• Attend to the Bank’s Office located at Imphal during prescribed duty hours
• Provide medical advice, prescribe medicines, and administer injections free of charge to:
  • Members of staff (including touring staff)
  • Members of their families including dependent parents
  • Retired employee members/spouses who are members of the Medical Assistance Fund Scheme
• Available for consultation at private clinic in urgent cases at prescribed rates
• Treat minor and major illnesses for employees and dependents
• Handle emergency cases in the dispensary, departments, or premises (even outside working hours)
• Administer all types of injections (responsibility for untoward reactions rests with BMC)
• Perform important dressings and minor surgeries
• Visit staff staying in leased flats and submit health reports (visit fees paid as per schedule)
• Issue medical leave certificates and countersign certificates from other qualified practitioners
• Attend Officers and family members at residence (charges as per Bank’s prescribed rates)
• Certify health/fitness of employees and prospective employees
• Issue order forms for special/costly drugs to approved chemists
• Secure hospital facilities for indoor hospitalization under Direct Settlement Facility
• Inspect Office Premises and Leased Flats monthly for sanitary/hygienic conditions
• Perform prophylactic inoculations and vaccinations
• Submit annual report on general health of staff
• Advise on drug indents and counter-check drug stock-balance and consumption
• Provide professional opinion on reasonableness of cost of treatment for medical claims
• Accompany patients to hospital in case of cardio-vascular or major emergencies/accidents
• Make substitute arrangements (acceptable to Bank) during absence at own cost and risk
