Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination tentatively in August 2026 for making additions to the Select List of Senior Secretariat Assistant / Upper Division Clerk Grade [Pay Level-4, Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)] of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) Cadre of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) . Eligible candidates must apply online through the SSC website https://ssc.gov.in from 25 June 2026 to 16 July 2026. The printed copy of the application form must be forwarded by the respective Service/Cadre Controlling Authority to the SSC (Northern Region) by 23 July 2026.

Step 1 – One-Time Registration (OTR):

  1. Visit SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on “Register Now” in the Login/Register section.
  3. Fill in all personal details, educational details, and contact information.
  4. Aadhaar-Based Authentication is recommended (though optional with document upload).
  5. Complete the registration within 14 days (otherwise data will be deleted).

Step 2 – Online Application:

  1. Login using Registration Number and Password.
  2. Click “Apply” for the examination under the “Live Exam” tab.
  3. Fill in all service-related details (Joining Date, Length of Service, Typewriting Test details, HOD details, etc.).
  4. Capture Live Photograph (must follow instructions – no caps, masks, or spectacles).
  5. Upload Signature (JPEG format, 10-20 KB, 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
  6. Submit the application online.

Step 3 – Forwarding by Cadre Controlling Authority:

  1. Take a printout of the submitted online application.
  2. The application must be verified and forwarded by the Head of Department/Office.
