Assam Special TET Admit Card 2026– Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII)
Candidates applying for the Upper Primary (UP) Level must satisfy any one of the following eligibility conditions:
- Graduation from a recognized university along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or its equivalent.
OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
OR
- Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) along with a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. programme.
OR
- Senior Secondary (Class XII) or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree.
OR
- Senior Secondary (Class XII) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. programme.
OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) qualification.
Important Note
The minimum percentage requirement in Graduation will not apply to candidates who had already secured admission to a B.Ed., B.El.Ed., or equivalent teacher education programme before 29 July 2011.
Relaxation in Academic Marks
Candidates belonging to SC, ST (Hills), ST (Plains), OBC, MOBC, and PwD (PH) categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum academic marks required in HSSLC/Class XII or Graduation for appearing in Special Assam TET 2026 for both Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-II (UP Level).
For candidates under the PwD (PH) category, the disability percentage must be 40% or above, duly certified by the competent authority.
