1. Programme Associate

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implementing developmental programs of SeSTA.
  • Community mobilization and institution building – SHG, VO, PG, FPO, CLF.
  • Strengthening community institutions and women collectives.
  • Family Based Livelihood Planning (FBLP).
  • Promote scientific livelihood interventions among women farmers – SRI, SCI, Nutrition Garden, Orchard Development, Bamboo Plantation, Scientific Goat/Pig Rearing, Backyard Poultry, Mushroom Cultivation.
  • Credit linkage.
  • Capacity building of community cadres.
  • Support in conducting monthly review and planning meetings.
  • Facilitating different trainings in the community.
  • Distributing support materials to the community.
  • Monitoring revolving fund process in community institutions.
  • Record keeping and documentation (Stock Register, Training Register, Attendance Register, Accounts documents, etc.).
  • Data maintenance of targets vs achievements.

2. Agriculture Expert

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular field visits to identify pest, disease, and nutrient deficiency issues in horticultural crops.
  • Diagnose crop problems and recommend appropriate IPM and INM practices.
  • Monitor pest and disease outbreaks; advise on safe use of bio-pesticides and organic alternatives.
  • Develop and disseminate crop advisories through village-level meetings and producer groups.
  • Monitor and document disease/pest outbreak data, growth, production, and productivity data.
  • Develop crop-specific Package of Practices (PoP) for major horticultural crops.
  • Conduct training programs, field demonstrations, exposure visits for farmers and field staff.
  • Prepare training materials, manuals, presentations, and technical leaflets in local languages.
  • Identify potential areas for horticulture-based production clusters.
  • Mobilize farmers into producer groups; develop crop plans and production calendars.
  • Facilitate access to quality planting materials, inputs, irrigation, and farm machinery.
  • Support aggregation, grading, sorting, and post-harvest management.

3. SMS- Veterinary

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of livestock-related interventions as per plans.
  • Capacity building of Staff, Pashu Sakhis, Livestock Entrepreneurs, Producer Groups, and farmers around Piggery, Goat Rearing, Backyard Poultry, and Dairy in a scientific manner.
  • On-field support to team members (70-80% field time expected).
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Staff, Pashu Sakhis, and Producer Group members.
  • Develop Package of Practices and IEC materials in English and local languages.
  • Support in developing Business Plans for Livestock Entrepreneurs and Pashu Sakhis.
  • Support in establishing backward linkages (quality inputs, vet care, feed) and forward linkages (marketing and processing).
  • Support in monitoring data maintenance of training events, adoption of practices, yield assessment, and income of farmers.
  • Support in promotion of business enterprises and market linkages.
  • Ensure Farmers’ record book maintenance for quality.
  • Facilitate training events for other stakeholders as per organizational needs.

4. Marketing Expert
Roles & Responsibilities

FPO & Agri-Allied Production Cluster Strengthening

  • Mobilize farmers into Producer Groups (PGs) and facilitate formation and strengthening of FPOs.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans for FPOs and PGs (production, aggregation, value addition, marketing).
  • Organize training programs on business planning, value addition, grading, sorting, packaging, branding, and market orientation.
  • Provide handholding support in production planning, quality control, standardization, and post-harvest management.
  • Develop and implement IEC materials.
  • Facilitate access to input supply systems and promote cost-effective procurement.
  • Promote adoption of digital tools for inventory management, traceability, and farmer data management.

Market Linkages & Business Development

  • Conduct market research and demand analysis to identify high-potential markets.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with buyers, wholesalers, retailers, aggregators, processors, and exporters.
  • Facilitate negotiation of contracts, pricing mechanisms, and long-term procurement arrangements.
  • Develop and strengthen value chains linking FPOs with processing units, cold chains, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Support FPOs in branding, packaging design, labelling compliance, and certification (FSSAI, Organic, etc.).
  • Develop marketing strategies including B2B, B2C, digital marketing, trade fairs, and buyer-seller meets.
  • Explore institutional markets (government procurement, retail chains).
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and competitor strategies.
  • Support FPOs in export readiness and quality standards.

Financial Linkages & Resource Mobilization

  • Facilitate access to working capital, credit linkage, equity grants, and financial schemes.
  • Support preparation of loan proposals and financial documentation.
  • Coordinate with banks, NABARD, SFAC, and other financial institutions.
  • Assist FPOs in developing sustainable revenue models.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop brand identity and positioning strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities

IT

  • Deploying IT extensively to ease access to information, effective reporting, and transparency.
